Tiffany lamson and taylor guarisco dating
Rather than coming off as an indie rock also-ran, Givers sound genuinely influenced by a mix of Sonic Youth, Graceland-era Paul Simon, Carlos Santana, and My Bloody Valentine without ever really aping any of these artists.
Part of that success comes from dual-vocalists Tiffany Lamson and Taylor Guarisco, who sound like Vampire Weekend's Ezra Koenig dueting with Chan Marshall, in the best way possible.
Fittingly, considering Givers’ penchant for joyous pop, Lamson saw the experience as a positive.
The group toured continuously for a few years, landing a gig on "Late Night" with Jimmy Fallon, and traveling around the world.
When things slowed down, however, and the group headed back into the studio to face the big expectations that come with that kind of powerful start.
The band’s origins date to Hurricane Katrina, which displaced Lamson and Guarisco from their New Orleans apartment and school.
The duo began playing music together, and they recruited the other members before a last-minute performance at a local pub in 2008.
